Of course, it was a dream, one Riku was more than capable of controlling to boot. For all his huffing and puffing, Sora knew they wouldn't be anything less than perfect.

He peeked over his shoulder and found Riku's bright cyan eyes riveted on the treats. God, were they dilated?

"You were saying?" Sora asked, tilting his head and acting as if he was genuinely asking.

Riku drew up short, snapping his jaw closed and glaring at Sora. Sora wiggled the cookie tray filled with the treats and Riku shot up in his seat in alarm.

"Sora!" Riku hissed, but Sora was too busy laughing to mind it.

I've been meaning to write something like this for a year now, but I came across some..... unexpected difficulties. It's just Sora spoiling Riku, really, which he probably deserves to be doted on a little, even though Riku's poor heart probably can't take it.

Notes: Hello! I hope you like this story. I wanted to write something wholesome with Sora and the small puppy that follows him around in Kingdom Hearts 1. I think in game the dalmatian is supposed to be Freckles per the markings on their face, but as a kid, my favorite of the dalmatians was always Jewel, so I decided to use her here.

This story is already completed, and will be 2-3 chapters long. There is just some editing to do in between chapters.

I wanted to dedicate this story to my cat, Pikachu, who passed away around this time of year in 2019. I was living in a different country at the time, and had to leave her behind for a year. We were supposed to be reunited, but she passed away while I was gone. I wanted to take that energy from that experience and turn it into something good. So I hope you enjoy!

This causes Fret to have some issues, and a Noise gets a good grip on him, and Rindo has to help him erase it from his mind.

This is... hardly relevant to the story itself, but the reasoning behind Beat having a stutter came from like... While me and my friend were playing NEO: TWEWY, we were voicing all the non-voiced cutscenes, and I was Beat. Unfortunately, I learned that the way Beat talks is a bit of a struggle to do at first, and it's reeeeally bad when combined with my stutter, so Beat ended up having a stutter a lot of the time and thus Beat with a stutter was born!

Also yes, I write stutters a bit awkwardly and messily, sue me.

My GOD did this idea get away from me lmao. I initially just wanted to write Beat struggling to get a Noise form since he never properly got one due to just being a Harrier (and really briefly as well), but then Joshua and Beat wouldn't stop talking and it all came out to be way longer than I initially intended for it to be. I also packed a shit ton of symbolism into the scenes with the Noise, which I didn't even mean to do LOL

The Noise forms in here are going off of what the TWEWY wiki says in regards to the hidden kanji in names that allude to Noise forms; so Beat's is a monkey, and Joshua's is a dragon. I couldn't really tell you what *kind* of monkey Beat is, so I kind of combined some information from all kinds of different monkeys to form Beat's Noise. He also has claws, and I realized halfway through that monkeys don't have claws, but I didn't want to have to edit it out, so oh well. No one ever said Noise had to be realistic.

And hey, fun fact, did you know that some types of monkeys can purr?
