Joshua
- Has adapted to Shinjuku the worst out of the three. Violent outbursts (typically directed at the barrier trapping them) and mental breakdowns are common
- Blames himself for them being trapped here but won't verbalize it
- A mixture of embarrasment over not forseeing this and shame at allowing it to happen will almost always lead to him throwing a fit if there circumstances are discussed for too long. Seeing as these fits almost always ends in him injuring himself, Beat and Neku have agreed not to bring it up
- Refuses to find new clothes. Altered the ones he was already wearing after three years of nagging from Neku but didn't even bother fixing them "It's a waste of power"
- Believes if he can charge his power long enough he can break the barrier. The other two stopped believing in this about a year in
- His powers have been significantly weakend
- Has permanent burn scars on his hands and forearms from his escape attempts
- Best chance of having a calm conversation is distracting him. "Talk about anything but where we are and he's almost normal" - Neku
Beat
- Seems to have just given up hope. He doesn't say much and just tries to stick around Neku or Joshua in case they need something from him
- Traded out his old clothes a year or two in. Usually wearing his mask and is blind in one eye
- Blames himself for them being here and wants to make it up to the other two. Some part of him recognizes he couldn't have done anything but at the moment all this has lead to is him avoiding letting Neku know he blames himself so he won't correct him
- If Neku asked him to jump off a cliff, he'd do it without a second thought. If Joshua asked, he'd ask questions but would if he insisted
- When he isn't with the other two he's usually staring at whatever pictures of Rhyme he happened to have on his phone before they were kidnapped. He's also got a picture of Shiki but he has a harder time looking at that one. He feels like he robbed her of her Partner
- The board made it with them, but he doesn't get to use it much since the ground isn't really in a state for riding
- Neku and Joshua found the headphones for him after an...incident. They don't fully block out the screaming souls but they help him focus on his own thoughts
Neku
- Has taken to Shinjuku best out of the three. Which isn't really saying much
- His jacket just sort of appeared one day. He woke up and it was just...there. It feels important and he refuses to part with it
- He's mostly focused on trying to keep the other two alive and sane. The task acts as an anchor for him. He still has his own slew of issues and triggers though
- Enforces rules that they all have to hold each other every other day or so. He says its to keep them sane but he also just needs to be sure there real. That he didn't make this all up and he's actually been alone all this time
- Roams the destroyed city, usually with Beat in tow, looking for a way out or answers as to what happened here in the first place. Sometimes he'll drag Josh along and try and get him hooked on the mystery but its hit or miss
- Does his best to keep Beat talking and Joshua from attacking the barrier. He hasn't been very sucessful with this
- Will randomly excuse himself to sit and cry to himself. Sometimes he'll look at a picture of Shiki to try and keep hope
- His Phones didn't make it with him but the mp3 player is still connected to them somehow. He's not sure if anyone has them, but he'll randomly select songs when he's bored
